BMA Water Pipelines Bingegang Pump Station Upgrade
Bingegang Pump Station is a high lift pump station in BMAs water pipeline network. The pump station consists of two separate sheds. The Capcoal Shed houses two high lift pumps and the BMA Shed which houses three high lift pumps and the controls for two submersible pumps. In mid 2015 the BMA Shed was overhauled to allow for variable speed control of three high lift pump motors. Throughout the overhaul the pipeline had to be kept operational to supply water to the pipeline network.
BMA Water Pipelines PLC & SCADA Upgrade
Implementation began in mid 1960 for the BMA water network which has grown to over 700km of pipeline across 21 different sites with 37 pumps, 21 water storage reservoirs and multiple control valves. These pipelines provide water via multiple offtake points to a number of BMA and Bowen Basin Community stakeholders. There are 5 pipelines that make up BMA IAM water network which are Eungella, Bingegang, Selma, Bedford West and Bedford East pipelines. The purpose of the upgrade was to standardise the Citect SCADA projects, the PLC code and have one central point of information while still maintaining local client access.
BMA Water Pipelines Eungella Pump Station Condition Monitoring
Constructed in 1970, the Eungella Dam Pump Station supplies the BMA Eungella Pipeline which pumps water approximately 120 km to the BMA Moranbah Pump Station. This pipeline provides water via multiple offtake points to a number of BMA and Bowen Basin Community stakeholders.
BMA Water Pipelines Bedford West Electrical Upgrades
Bedford West Booster Pumping Station is located approximately 56km east-north-east of Emerald township and was originally implemented in 1969. The booster pumping station is a part of the Bedford West pipeline which also consists of Rangal Dam, Northern Header Tank and Top Dam.
